January 2020 Housing Market Update: Frederick County

Dated: February 18 2020

The numbers are in for January's housing market. Here is the breakdown:

• Inventory for the month dropped to 760 active listings, which is down 4.2% from December.
• There were 442 new listings which is a 36% increase over last month.
• The average sales price has decreased by 3.14% and the days on the market has increased by 8 days.

Based on these statistics, I conclude that inventory continues to be too low and while homes are still selling, buyers are being conservative and negotiating in some instances.

Thinking about selling? Remember! Low inventory means less competitors on the market, but more competition for your home. Contact me if I can help you Love Your Home!
